what is an urban forest?

Urban forests include urban parks, street trees, landscaped buildings, gardens, river corridors, nature preserves, and the trees and bushes we all enjoy in our own yards. The urban forest provides fresh air, shade, beauty and habitat for birds wildlife [source]
